Growing up was never easy. Walking on eggshells to hide your true self because this world is still filled with so much judgment and lack of acceptance of others. Thankfully, it gets easier. People are becoming more open-minded and loving.
Our LGBTQ community is getting stronger. Being truly happy with yourself also helps when you find your soulmate. Luckily, 2 years ago I met the most amazing woman I could ever want. She reminds me every single day of how wonderful life is and can be. When the world knocks me down, she’s already grabbing my hand pulling me back up.
After about a year of dating, I knew I wanted forever and I proposed to her in front of a lighthouse in Florida. The only thing she kept saying was, “are you serious??” I still don’t think she’s answered the question but she wears the ring so I think that’s a good indicator.
Our birthdays are only a few weeks apart so we decided to travel to Cancun, Mexico to celebrate. It is still a pandemic but after much research, we still decided to take the leap. A couple of months before arriving I contacted Jorge Rodriguez after much research and asked him to take our engagement pictures.
I watch a lot of TV and I know Mexico isn’t really accepting of the LGBTQ community yet but Jorge welcomed us with open arms. Not only him but everyone we’ve met in Cancun as well. I have no idea how he knew but he suggested we take the pictures at a lighthouse in Cancun. It couldn’t have been more of a perfect idea.
We stayed at the Golden Parnassus resort and went to Xplor Park by Xcaret. It absolute dream vacation. Then coming home and quickly receiving our pictures (only 2 weeks) was the cherry on top. Not only can we remember the trip forever but our love was captured in these photos which will last a lifetime.

My fiancé and I traveled to Mexico for a vacation and decided to do pictures while visiting. After much research online, I decided Jorge was the guy I wanted to take our pictures with. He responded right away and confirmed the appointment. With his recommendations, we met for the pictures. He made us feel extremely comfortable. The pictures came out amazing! Couldn’t ask for anyone better.
